I have been in the financial advisor world for over 20 years. After graduating with a degree in Economics and a minor in Political Science from Southern Utah University, I found my passion in helping people with achieving their retirement goals.
The main lesson that I have learned over the years is the simple understanding that everyone is different in the way they look at their financial future. I have come to appreciate the unique experience it is to work with someone on setting goals and then watching them achieve those goals. I love to ask questions, by asking questions I realized that I needed to change my business to help my clients in a more effective manner.
In the last few years I chose to become a partner in Aspen Capital Management. Aspen Capital Management is an active wealth manager. We believe in the active portfolio method. This approach can give our clients a better experience as they look to achieve their goals and conquer the world of retirement planning. I am so thrilled to be working with such a great organization.
I am married to Denise, a beautiful women who is my BEST friend. Together we have four awesome girls. Together we love to fish, hunt and hike and take vacations close to home. I have a love for hockey and tennis and have a passion for the Mountains of Utah and it’s wondrous beauty!

She and her husband moved to Las Vegas in 1996, where she applied her business skills as an executive assistant for international marketing in four major casinos. She transferred to the Trust Department in 2011 and served as a trust administrator until moving to Hurricane in 2014.
Barb joined our team in June of 2015 and enjoys helping clients by preparing the paperwork required for opening new accounts, investing in new funds, and transferring assets. She and her husband were attracted to southern Utah for the beauty and nature that it offers. They also like being closer to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, which they have supported since 2000. They both love animals and have a variety of pets.
Shane and his wife Tina moved to St. George from Utah County in 1993 shortly after starting their family. They soon fell in love with the beautiful surroundings in southern Utah and enjoy hiking, fishing, hunting and boating with their five children. A few years after arriving in St. George Shane started and successfully operated a business which he then sold 13 years later. From that experience he developed a passion to become a successful investor which led him to becoming an Investment Advisor. From his experience as a business owner Shane understands the need to educate and help business owners build and secure a retirement through various strategies and products. Shane believes that creating and implementing a good plan, and not just providing a fund, is key to a successful financial future.
